Frog camp will be hopping Thursday at the zoo

Head to the Lake Superior Zoo for a hoppin’ good time!

Join the Lake Superior Zoo’s chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK) for a special Frog Camp on Thursday, July 14th.

The event includes games, a Frog Call, Frog Hop, coloring and painting station and Prince and Princess photos. There will also be an animal encounter, dress-up prizes, a campfire with s’mores and “The Frog Prince” story read by a Princess!

Admission for non-members is $10 for adults, $7 for kids. Admission for members is $8 for adults and $5 for kids.

The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. with admissions closing at 7 p.m.

All proceeds from the event go to Amphibian Ark. Amphibian Ark works with other conservation organizations to select species that would otherwise become extinct and maintain them in captivity until they can be secured in the wild. Without immediate captive management as a stopgap, hundreds of species could become extinct.
