The Lake Superior Zoological Society to host annual Easter EGG-stravaganza

While you're hunting Easter eggs, check out the zoo's youngest resident

The annual Easter EGG-stravaganza is scheduled for Saturday, April 23 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Lake Superior Zoo. Bring the family and enjoy this spring tradition of hunting eggs, playing games and visiting the animals. Hunt for golden eggs with special prizes inside! The Easter Bunny will be on hand to oversee the egg hunt and the coloring contest. Children can find Easter eggs and trade one egg for an Easter treat bag and the others to get their faces painted or play games. Watch as the zoo animals enjoy their own Easter treats, enjoy the Lake Superior Clowns, participate in kids’ games and interact with education animals in the Griggs Learning Center Kids are also encouraged to submit their best coloring contest entry for a chance to win a prize in their age category. There are four categories for the coloring contest: ages 2 – 4, ages 5 – 6, ages 7 – 8, and ages 9-plus. Submissions to the coloring contest can be made by mailing or bringing your entry to the Lake Superior Zoo by Saturday, April 23 at 4 p.m. Contest winners and the prize drawing winner will be notified Monday, April 25 by phone and listed in the next issue of the Duluth Budgeteer News, the Lake Superior Zoo website and the 92.1 Lite fm and 95 KQDS websites.
