CLOQUET, Minn â€”How divorce or the separation of parents impacts children, what parents can do to lessen the impact and effective strategies for co-parenting after divorce or separation are the focus of a training workshop offered by the University of Minnesota Extension Parents Forever program.
The workshop will be offered on Wednesday, November 17th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Cloquet Forestry Center, 175 University Road, Cloquet, MN.
The workshop will also include information on grief and loss, emotion coaching, abandonment, the co-parenting relationship and parenting plans.
The training is for anyone who works with families experiencing transition due to divorce or family changes related to separation or custody and co-parenting issues.
The cost is $50 and includes the new Impact of Divorce on Children parent handbook and educator guide, and a CD with the slide presentation and teaching handouts.
