“Herb Garden Fest” in Proctor to be offered by St. Louis County Extension

Growing and Cooking with Herbs

The St. Louis County Extension Office will be conducting its annual fall harvest educational program on Tuesday, September 28th.   This year’s program is called the “Herb Garden Fest” and will feature growing and cooking with herbs.  The program will focus on growing annual and perennial herbs which do well in the Northland.  This will be followed by a sampling of many dishes and teas prepared with locally grown herbs. A question-and-answer session conducted by St. Louis County’s Extension Master Gardeners will also be a part of the evening event.

This year’s program will be held at the Forbes United Methodist Church, 33 Grove St. in Proctor, MN from 6:00-8:30 p.m.  Registration fee is $15, and includes an educational packet, herb cookbook, the taste test, and herb tea bag prepared from locally grown herbs, all of which were produced for this program.  Space is limited and pre-registration is strongly advised.
